Little Girls

When I saw this post on one of my favorite blogs, I knew I had to give these little people a try. (Not brave enough to try the necklaces yet, but maybe eventually...)

An old friend from high school sent me some peg dolls FOREVER ago, and I never did anything with them because they intimidated me a little. Michael's has paint on sale this week, so I decided that trying couldn't hurt anything. I'm really glad I did because I'm thrilled with how they turned out. These will be going in Miss Megan's Easter basket next month (if I can wait that long to give them to her!). The painting obviously isn't perfect (far from, in fact), but I am not a painter, and was on a bit of a learning curve. I have one more package of peg people, so I'm going to make some more and I'm sure they will turn out less messy.

How cute. I haven't seen any of these in years, and would never have thought of making them.
