Drew started King's Kids tonight, which meant it was time for him to have a Bible. When AJ started last December, I made a cute cover for his Bible. So, of course, I had to do the same for Drew.

Being a mom can be a tiresome and unrewarding job. That is difficult for me because I want to feel like what I do day in and day out actually matters. I want to feel appreciated. I know, I know...I probably won't get the appreciation or validation that I desire until my kids are grown and have kids of their own and see just how difficult it can be.

In any case, I can say with confidence that once or twice a day, I am a hero to my kids. It happens invariably at mealtime...usually breakfast.
