You know the one. The one who's beauty shines through a stained t-shirt and pony tail. The one who packs a yellow lunch because she loves her son more than she ever thought she could. The one who cares more about the character of her children than their appearance. The one who spends her free time making dresses and quilts and Bible covers and culottes. The one who pushes her husband to go outside his comfort zone in order to give a homeless man a jug of water. The one who calls a man to task in the WalMart parking lot. The one who is virtuous regardless of her dress. The one who wears a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. The one I call my dove, my bride, and my Jeanie.
While I was pregnant with AJ, I did my best to consider all of the things that I would need to do to be the perfect mother. Things like learning to decorate cakes so that my kids would have beautiful birthday cakes like I did when I was a kid. Or like keeping the bathroom completely clean at all times. Or like being completely finished with potty training before they turned 2. Or like making cute little baby books for each of them.

Today is "yellow day" for AJ at school. He was really excited about wearing his new shirt and taking yellow food in his lunch box. (They were asked to wear yellow clothing, but I went above and beyond and thought up the yellow lunch all on my own. Yeah...I'm a great mom.)
