I know that what I do for a living is actually standing up, so I kinda feel silly being the one to initiate it... but I think it's only appropriate to actually STAND UP if you actually mean it when that part is sung. With the exception of the choir and a few ushers in the back, no one budged. Now I know, maybe I'm wrong. But I wanted to stand up. I leaned forward in my chair. But no one moved. And the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. So I've decided I need to start shouting AMEN.

As an American Airman, I feel a tremendous amount of patriotism, but rarely do I let the hairs on the back of my neck stand up for the truth from the Word of God. I am ashamed of myself. I've grown calloused to the Bible. I honestly don't think my soul believes there's any truth I don't know from the Scriptures. HOW ABSURD! I walk away from every sermon changed. I feel like I'm taking one step up only to get knocked back down two, but the truth is changing me and I know it. How dare I join a God ordained, Bible thumping, in one accord body of believers and sit quietly. The truth is so much more important than patriotism. I need to start acting that way.
