Since it's
Joy Week, I thought I'd mention the joy of family pictures. Ordinarily, I'd put up a couple of wonderful family photos and mention how joyous the occasion was (with only slight sarcasm). But I'm feeling a little left out in the picture department. Everyone else has seen them but me. So here I sit and I imagine in my mind's eye that it was all worth it. We got up early and fought over the bathroom. We dressed quickly and searched frantically for my belt. We smashed some kids in our bellies and food into our cars. (Or was it the other way around?) Then got to Sears before it opened to annoy the guy responsible for unlocking the door. Oh, but it was all so peaceful when Ryan wouldn't stop looking at the light, and Drew was tired of laying across my legs. Someday, I'll be able to look back at the family photo and remember how sweet and innocent our children used to be. But only if anyone will ever let me actually look at those family photos.
