The quilt is just big enough to go over AJ. He will use it for school naptime, so it didn't need to be big and bulky. The backing, binding, and some of the triangles are made from very lightweight flannel. The rest is just cotton. I did the entire thing by machine (which, yes, means I fudged the binding a little...). I rounded the edges so that I didn't have to deal with mitering the corners. That was a WONDERFUL piece of advice from Aunt J. as well.

I learned a lot from making this quilt, and was given SO much fantastic advice along the way (thanks Aunt J. and Karen!) My next one will surely be better. I will definitely be more careful to make sure everything lines up properly. It bugs me that some of the triangles are so crooked, but I'm just trying to ignore it.
