Tip #12: Shoot in Burst Mode is probably my favorite. I take pictures like Stephen Spielberg makes movies: take enough of them and you're bound to get a few good ones.

If you capture screenshots of web pages often and don't want to go through the whole Alt-PrntScrn, Open Paint, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+S routine, the Page Saver Firefox extension's for you. Save the visible portion of a web page or the entire page to an image in one click with Page Saver, which is great for reporting web site bugs or just snapping a web page pic for posterity. Page Saver's got lots of configurable options, too, like the default filename for the image (with date variables for time-sensitive grabs), customizable keyboard shortcuts and a choice of PNG or JPEG file output format.

So virtually every Sci-Fi ever made has either killer robots or killer bugs. It was only a matter of time until our Sci-Fi nightmares came true.

When the robots rise, they'll likely come in the form of giant, goose-stepping cockroaches. Don't believe us? Just check the 32-inch, 44-pound Halluc II which features the ability to walk or roll via a simple rotation of its jointed appendages. This 8-legged vermin is powered by the screams of children and the Linux-beast within. When things get out of hand, you'll want to aim your slingshot at its 800MHz AMD Geode central processing unit and hope for the best. Now go ahead and click through for some video of it bewildered by the flashing camera lights in some makeshift, Japanese LSD lab. It's always a good idea to study your enemy before the big fight.

The day was coming... a company has finally offered a laptop so cheaply that it's almost disposable. The specs are respectable at 14" display, 1.5Ghz Celeron, 256Mb RAM, and 40Gb HD. But most impressive is the price at $150!

Of course, it comes with Linux, so you're not paying the Microsoft Tax.

MySpace sex offenders

MySpace.com has found and deleted profiles of 29,000 convicted sex offenders, more than four times the initial 7,000 profiles they claimed in May. The numbers were discovered after MySpace turned over info detailing the offenders they had removed from the service. MySpace turned over the records after states filed a formal legal request.
