    I don&#039;t know if this really deserves its own category or not, but I wanted to write about a few of the things I&#039;ve learned from my dad (and mom too).  First up...&lt;br /&gt;

We need strong authority to set us straight. We need consequences. But we do not need abuse. And there is a super-fine line between the two.
